From Two Groups to Thousands of Internship Weeks
Our Journey in International Internships
Occupational Wheel of Fortune
Over the past years, Nova Talent has grown from a small one-man-business into a trusted partner for international internships in Finland. Nova Talent’s journey reflects the growing impact of international internships in Finland. In 2025, Nova Talent successfully completed nearly 400 internship weeks in Finnish companies. During the same year, we also exceeded the milestone of 100 partner companies. Today, we can offer a wide range of job categories covering multiple industrial sectors as well as some service professions.

FIG 1. Occupational Wheel of Fortune. Share of total internship weeks 2018-2025 per occupation.
Our story began in 2018
Nova Talent hosted 2018 two groups of French construction workers. Since then, we have established a strong and reliable network of international partners and Finnish host companies. Year by year, it has become a bit easier to encourage companies to receive international interns, but some sectors are still very challenging. Through systematic feedback collected from both interns and host organizations, we have been able to demonstrate that:
hosting an intern brings unexpected added value to receiving organizations
Finnish working culture is highly appreciated by incoming interns
Data collection, feedback questionnaires, and key operational figures are essential guidelines for our work and for the Erasmus+ programme as a whole. For the past few years, Nova Talent has also offered internships within our own office. This provides interns with a unique perspective on European mobility and on Finland as a destination country. We have already hosted five interns in our office at Hansacenter, Puutarhakatu 45, Turku.

FIG 2. Last spring, a German IT specialist, Johanna, supported us in developing a new feedback questionnaire and did an excellent job organizing both past and current data into clear and engaging visualizations of our activities.
