Status of travel restrictions to Finland

Nova Talent, Vesa Laakso

Based on Finnish Government last week decision restrictions on travel were lifted at internal borders today 13th of July. So far only travel related on duty have been possible from several European countries. Now leisure travel as well as travel based on internships is allowed from the countries with certain COVID19-rate. This basically means that internship students/apprentices are now welcome to Finland from countries with following precondition:

"As a general rule, the limit value is eight new cases of the disease per 100,000 persons in the previous 14 days."

Situation will be renewed every two weeks to consider current status of infections. Next time frame will in the end of July (27th July 2020). Looking forward to see more European countries on the list with access to Finland in purpose of internship. Hopefully we're able to initiate Erasmus activities gradually and get things running (again).

In other words: Welcome to Finland!
